Information For Authors

  • Submission of manuscript should be performed only by the corresponding author at https://fjias.atu.edu.iq/. Further enquiries should be addressed to editorial manager by E-mail: [email protected].
  • Manuscript must be written in English using use USA spelling, and initially revised and edited by English Native Speaker.
  • Manuscript submitted to the Al-Furat Journal of Innovations in Agricultural Sciences (FJIAS) should be in average between 10-20 pages based on FJIAS format .
  • Plagiarism of whole manuscript must be less than 20% .The author(s) must avoid self-citation which is over 20 % of cited references.
  • The author(s) does not charge publication fees, and manuscript is opened to all readers. Also, author(s) should not submit  manuscript more than one time to journal. use Template of  journal

 Template of FJIAS

  • Microsoft Word used for Manuscript typing , using Times New Roman font at 12 points, single spaced in A4 size page with 2.5 cm margin on all sides. All pages should be numbered.
  • The manuscript should be constructed as follows:
  • Title page: It should contain an informative and precise title of manuscript, full names, affiliation and E-mails of all author(s) share the manuscript, location of study and short running title of manuscript.
  • Abstract: it must summarize the main goal of study, followed method, obtained results and conclusions of subject in form that it could be comprehensive and obvious by any reader and not only specialists. 300 words are allowed to be included in abstract without using abbreviations, and pulished or unpublished references. Three to five keywords are stated after the abstract to subject indexing and these keywords should be separated by semi colon and in singular form (e.g, cow, not cows; plant, not plants).
  • Introduction: It should be simple and well-described to show the aim  and significance of the carried out work with acceptable scientific justifications.
  • Materials and Methods: Adequate information must be given in this part without very detailed techniques which are previously cited in other references. The location and number of experiments and their treatments and replications as well as statistical analyses should be sufficiently mentioned. The full scientific name for microorganisms should be given italics. Mathematical formula must be accurately typed through using the equation. If a manuscript contains several equations, they must be recognized with a number in parenthesis (g. Equation 1.). International System of Unites (SI) should be used.
  •  Results: The actual results should be presented appropriately based on statistical test obtained without any discussing of data. Tables and figures in results are printed using Times New Roman font at 10 points with single spaced. Tables, figures and photographs are put at the end of the manuscript. Also, each table, figure and photograph should be given by a self-explanatory title and numbered consecutively as Table 1, figure 1 or photograph 1 in the text.
  • Discussion:The presented results are not allowed to be repeated in discussion part. Each discussed result should depend on preferably cited reference and speculation may also be adopted to explain tested   In some circumstances, the results and discussion could be combined  in a single part.
  • Conclusions: In this part, conclusions should be absolutely clear  and do not show new information. Instead, conclusions should restate main notes of work which followed by providing closure. You may also offer suitable solutions or recommendations on how your research can be improved. Also, author(s) should mention the experimental limitations and its major  problems if not already highlighted  in the discussion section of the manuscript.
  • References: The heading of the references section must be numbered in the text. Number the reference items should be put consecutively in square brackets (e.g. [1]). When referring to a new reference item, please use new reference number, as in [2]. Do not use “Ref. [3]” or “Reference [3]” in the main text except at the beginning of a sentence, e.g. “ Jack  [3] shows …”.  Multiple references in text are each numbered with separate brackets (e.g. [2], [3], [4]–[6]). References should be organized and listed in numerical order  with the following examples:
